They defeated Gujarat Giants by eight wickets in the fifth match of the tournament on Tuesday (February 27). RCB had defeated UP Warriors in their first match. On the other hand, Gujarat has faced defeat for the second consecutive match. Earlier he was defeated by Mumbai Indians.

Sabbineni Meghna remained unbeaten after scoring 36 runs on 28 balls. He hit five fours and one six. Ellis Perry scored unbeaten 23 runs on 14 balls. He hit four fours. Sophie Devine was out after scoring six runs. Ashley Gardner and Tanuja Kanwar got one success each.
Molineux did wonders in bowling
Earlier, Dayalan Hemalatha scored the highest unbeaten 31 runs for Gujarat. Harleen Deol scored 22 runs and Sneh Rana scored 12 runs. Apart from these three, no other player could cross the double figures. Veda Krishnamurthy was out after scoring nine runs, captain Beth Mooney scored eight runs, Ashley Gardner scored seven runs, Phoebe Litchfield scored five runs and Katherine Bryers scored three runs. Tanuja Kanwar scored four unbeaten runs. Sophie Molineux took maximum three wickets for RCB. Renuka Singh Thakur got two successes. Georgia Wareham took one wicket.

With this win, RCB has four points from two matches. He won the match with 45 balls remaining. Due to this his net run rate has become much better. RCB team has now reached the top. His net runrate is +1.665. He left behind both Mumbai (second) and Delhi Capitals (third). UP Warriors and Gujarat have not got a single win so far. UP is at fourth place and Gujarat at fifth place.
