In a remarkable display of skill, India triumphed over Nepal with a convincing 9-wicket win in today’s match, securing their place in the semi-finals. The next challenge awaits as India is all set to face its traditional rival, Pakistan, in a highly anticipated match on Wednesday.
During the match against Nepal
India A’s opening batsman, Abhishek Sharma, exhibited remarkable form, scoring an impressive 87 runs off 69 balls, including 12 fours and two sixes. His stormy innings played a crucial role in India’s successful run chase.
Batting first
Nepal managed to reach a total of 167 runs in 39.2 overs, with Captain Rohit Podel leading the charge with 65 runs, well supported by Gulshan Jha, who contributed 38 runs. However, India A’s bowlers displayed exceptional skills, limiting Nepal’s batsmen. Seven Nepali players failed to reach double figures, with Asif Sheikh scoring 7, Kushal Bhurtel 0, Dev Khanal 15, Bhim Sharkey 04, Kushal Malla 00, and Sompal 14.

The Indian bowlers
Led by Nishant Sindhu, who took four wickets, and Rajvardhan Hungerkekar, who dismissed three Nepali batsmen, performed brilliantly to restrict Nepal’s scoring opportunities. Harshit Rana also chipped in with two wickets.
In response, Team India A showcased their strength and determination, easily overcoming the 168-run challenge set by Nepal, with one wicket to spare in 22.1 overs. Alongside Abhishek Sharma, Sai Sudarshan provided strong support, contributing a valuable half-century with 58 runs off 52 balls. Wicketkeeper Dhruv Jurail added a quick 21 runs in just 12 balls, aided by two sixes.
