Speaking to AFP, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) CEO Jalal Yunus said, “It is a small effort from our side. They have not formally demanded any money from us, but we felt that they should be given at least partial compensation, if not full. We believe that playing for the national team should be unconditional. But our board will consider it on a case-by-case basis, as the welfare of the players is also one of our priorities.
These three did not play IPL
It may be noted that in the IPL 2023 auction, KKR bought Shakib Al Hasan for Rs 1.5 crore, but he withdrew his name just before the season. He preferred to play for his national team instead of IPL. Apart from this, Liton Das was also in the KKR team, but he returned to the country in the middle of the IPL.
