The final match of WPL is being played between Delhi Capitals and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at Arun Jaitley Stadium. Due to the brilliant bowling of Shreyanka Patil and Molineux, RCB all out Delhi’s innings for 113 runs in 18.3 overs.
Delhi team, who came to bat first after winning the toss, got a great start from the opening pair of Shefali Verma and captain Meg Lanning. Both the batsmen played aggressively and put pressure on the RCB bowlers, but left-arm spinner Molineux, who came to bowl the eighth over, made Delhi’s innings wobble by dismissing Shefali, Capsie and Jemimah in this over.
After this, Shreyanka Patil did not give Delhi batsmen a chance to settle down. Delhi’s batting was so bad that at one time the team, which had scored 64 runs without any loss, could not even play the full 20 overs and was reduced to 113 runs. For RCB, Shreyanka Patil took four wickets, Molineux took three and Asha took two wickets. The interesting thing is that nine wickets were taken by RCB spinners while Radha Yadav was run out.
